The Maiden Rock Retreat offers lodging for up to 16 with two private suites and two first level bedrooms with shared handicap accessible bathroom. Many areas throughout the building still have some of the original features from the days it operated as a creamery.
Rates include up to 16 people. There is plenty of room to bring in air mattresses and lots of sofa space for additional guests. The charge for more than 16 is $25/person/night.
Also, the Julian House is located one block away and sleeps 8 comfortably.
Unique characteristics of this suite include the original Sheffield brick on one wall and the ceiling. The skylights were created from spaces left in the ceiling where there were probably large tanks or stacks.
This space sleeps 6 with a queen size bed, full size loft bed and full/queen sized Serta futon. There is a full kitchen, dining table, living room and bathroom with shower.
This apartment also includes a gas fireplace, tv and a small balcony overlooking Lake Pepin.
This suite offers complete privacy from the rest of the building. You will find characteristics in this space such as original Sheffield brick, ceiling pulleys and original windows now being used as room dividers.
The two level suite sleeps 6 with a queen size bed in one lower level bedroom, two twin beds in the other lower level bedroom and a queen size pull out sofa in the upstairs living room. This suite includes a full size bathroom with tub/shower, gas fireplace, tv, living room, compact kitchen and dining table. You will also get an incredible view of Lake Pepin!
*Please note: ceilings in lower level are shorter than normal and may not be comfortable for anyone taller than 6'2".
For guests with mobility limitations or if you just need extra bedrooms, the Maiden Rock Retreat offers two main level bedrooms, each with a queen size bed. These bedrooms share a handi-cap accessible bathroom steps from each room.
